Bookshelf-friendly, but best on stands, Monitor Audio Bronze 100 is a substantial speaker in a mid-sized package. An eight-inch woofer is a rare find in bookshelf speakers. Designed for both hi-fi and home cinema playback, Bronze 100s bring sound to life.

The largest of the Bronze Series shelf/stand mount models, Bronze100’s cabinet houses the 8″ C-CAM mid-bass driver and C-CAM-Gold dome tweeter. Monitor Audio’s proprietary CCAM ceramic magnesium alloy features in their flagship tower speakers.  Both drivers are manufactured in the same metal and, as a result, the transition from bass/midrange to treble is smooth and seamless. Monitor Audio Bronze 100 guarantees powerful and room-filling performances and modest cabinetry.

The sound from Bronze100 is warm and deep. Highs are clean and soft and never harsh or ‘bitey’. By virtue of their big woofer cones, Bronze100 has more get-up-and-go than most bookshelf speakers in this price category. For example, Bronze100 has enough punch and deep bass that they support home cinema beautifully with or without a subwoofer.

Monitor Audio Bronze looks sharp with front baffles that provide a subtle contrast to four hard-wearing synthetic finishes. Black, white, urban-grey, and walnut complement furniture-grade painted front baffles with matching magnetic grille cloths.

At eight ohms nominal impedance, they are easy to drive with any amplifier. We have had them ‘singing’ here in the shop, partnered to an 8-watt tube amp!

Place them on a bench, sink them into joinery, or set them on speaker stands, and Bronze100 will impress with ‘huge’ sound, without spending a huge amount of money.
