The Meridian MSR2 is a handheld remote control for Meridian products which include an infrared receiver. As well, MSR2 provides control of basic functions such as volume level and source selection, it allows access to more advanced features on various Meridian products.
Meridian’s 210 streamer and 218 digital pre-amplifier both have connections for on infrared receiver which enables MSR2 operation. Yes they have app control – and they work on every major brand of system automation control – but, you know, sometimes you just want to grab an old-school remote handset and tweak the music…
MSR2 allows just that.
With a 210 streamer and DSP speakers, MSR2 allows you to skip tracks and the adjust volume of your Meridian Digial Active Loudspeaker amplifiers. Yes, you can do that on your smartphone app but, do you have a password on your home screen? Sometimes the moment has passed by the time your app’s ready to play ball. That’s when you want a Meridian MSR2.
With a 218 or Core 200 digital preamplifier, MSR2 allows you to change inputs and the adjust volume of your Meridian Digial Active Loudspeaker amplifiers. Again, you can do that on your smartphone app but ther are times when you feel like the very technology that made this all possible can be bettered by an old-fashioned battery-operated remote control handset sitting on the coffee table. That’s when you’re going to want an MSR2.
It also operates legacy Meridian products like CD players, tuners and DVD players. Click here for a complete list of MSR2 functions.
When you buy Meridian products, with an MSR2, Steve Bennett Hi-Fi will include an appropriate infrared receiver with your purchase.
